Can people with astigmatism wear contact lenses?

I’m 14 years old and Ive been wearing Contact lenses for a couple of months now. Some people Have told me that wearing contacts with astigmatism is bad and makes your eyes really blurry. Is this true because I use dailies and my eyesight is already blurry as it is!!!

I have astigmatism in my left eye and wear soft lens.

1. Hard Boston lens control/ correct the condition. I wore them for 20 years and there was correction. Stopped in 1997 and wore glasses (for no reason).

2. In 2010 I tried the regular soft lens on both eyes and had problems seeing. Now I wear the astigmatism lens on my left eye and a regular on my right (both are soft lens). My only problem is trying to remove them (haha); but this is a problem noted with people who are used to the hard lens removal.
