What do you think of insurance companies who stop selling coverage for children?

because the Health Care Act requires that they cover children who are sick? I think this is sub-human, disgraceful, and I would cancel insurance if I had one from these companies. They are:

Anthem Blue Cross, Aetna Inc., UnitedHealth Group Inc., Cigna Corp.
They would have less profit. They would not go out of business. They sell other products beside childrens health insurance.
By your theory of business, when the adult pre-existing condition coverage kicks in 2014, the insurance companies will have to shut down since they wont cover adults who are sick.
RCDRURY: Insurance companies are all those adjectives you ascribed to them. They are diversified and wont lose much profit by covering ill kids. Health insurance companies are not regulated except by state commissioners. That is weak regulation.They are exempt from anti-trust laws since 1945.
Why all this concern for insurance company profits instead of caring for very ill children? I am shocked.

every single administrator and investor of those companies should immediately have their medical coverage permanently terminated for their own children and grandchildren…and be required to pay in CASH if they need medical assistance at any point in the future….

sure, even that may not affect many of them all that much, but i’m sure they’d be praying that they don’t end up with a child with special needs, on dialysis, involved in a serious accident, going through cancer treatment, etc.
