How would you suggest this person take care of their problem?

Susan is 45 years old… she has a number of health issues that prevent her from working:

She is asthmatic and has a mild form of autism.
She also has diabetes and restless sleep problems. None of these are “disabilities” on technicality.

She is a divorcee and has 2 kids in college who don’t live with her but have struggles of their own.

Susan doesn’t like “welfare” and believes that people should pay their bills and contribute to society as best they can. Even so, she is not considered for welfare anyway because she has no “dependents” now that the kids are gone.

Susan recently went to the emergency room for an asthma attack and was uninsured.
The hospital did not consider her asthma attack to be “life threatening” even though she could not breathe.

The bill is $3000 and if it is not paid, they will put a lien on her house which is 3 payments shy of being hers. The inhaler prescribed was $75 out of pocket.

JUST LIKE A 2ND MORTAGE, THATS A LEIN ON YOUR HOME. 3000.00 IS ALOT OF MONEY BUT NOT REALLY ENOUGH TO WASTE ON BANKRUPTSY. MOST PLACES WILL ALLOW YOU TO MAKE PAYMENTS, OF COURSE THEY WILL WANT MORE THAN YOU CAN GIVE, SO IF YOU CANT MAKE THE FULL PAYMENTS THEN JUST SEND ONLY WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD. ATLEAST IT SHOWS YOU ARE TRYING TO PAY SOMETHING. JUST MAKE SURE YOU DONT MISS ANY PAYMENTS AND STAY IN TOUCH WITH THEM ABOUT ANY CHANGES.
