What is the difference between universal health care and single payer health system?
Universal health care means everyone in the health insurance company. This may come from the private sector, subsidized by the government, a public insurer, or more often a mixture both. A health system is a single-payer as the UK, where all (or at least most) of the health care expenses are covered by a single insurer – In fact, provided a government authority. Thus, the practical differences are some options limited single-payer system and allow the government to create rules (some of which can be beneficial for patients).
