What are the consequences of hypertension during pregnancy? Read more ..?

So, now 29 weeks pregnant and so far my pregnancy is going well. Won only 15 pounds so far and my diet is healthy and I exercise and all that good stuff. Her blood pressure throughout my pregnancy together, and I I actually had high blood pressure since about 5 years. I've never been on medication and I'm still on medication. I was tested for pre-eclampsia no 2 weeks and luckily it was not. However I followed EOR (usually read on average 132/89) So my question is what are the consequences of my high blood pressure and what kind of complications may follow? I'm not finding much information online and hope someone here with experience of health care or experience in the field, but it can help. Thanks!

Hi, I have no experience with health care, but I can tell you what my prenatal nurse told me when I was diagnosed with HSP. The high blood pressure can lead to larger babies and major health problems for mom. You are more likely to suffer edema of hands and feet. You are also more prone to gestational diabetes, you have to watch what you eat. Consistently high blood pressure (150/100 and in general) can lead to kidney and liver as well. The doctor probably told you this, but if you start headaches, spots, or have a sharp pain below ribs on your right, you get to a hospital immediately! Good luck.
