The Amish and the modern health care …?
Amish people I know have added electric lights in the carriages drawn, and have phones in their homes for emergency calls. My question is, what technologies are acceptable lifestyle. Is it nothing for the health / safety acceptable? Convienece not only for modern technology / entertainment? Can a woman who shed blood in Idaho Amish, or more likely that the Mennonites?
Correction to another position. I live in Amish country, and most Amish do not have jobs in factories and restaurants. In fact, a brother and sister who work together in the same plant two or use lifting equipment and qualified. What someone told me not to refuse to use modern appliances. The only thing need to consider consequences of their use. Very slowly but deliberately. For example, I was surprised that most Amish are grilling outdoors. They believe that is acceptable because they allow the Amish ability to raise capital. Until recently, mobile avoided because it leads to the temptation not to meet face to face. Not having a phone, means that you must go to the speaker. However, Michigan / Indiana area, some Amish communities are allowing phones to be installed in institutions selected. Mainly for emergencies. Have lights on their buggies, because the state has taken action against you because of the number of injuries by Amish at night. It is very difficult see a black buggy in the dark with a single point behind a triangular reflection buggy. The Amish and their horses were injured seriously when arriving collided with a vehicle. Thus, the Amish, they agreed was the advantage of having the lights. I do not know in a routine medical treatment, but if someone is Amish in the hospital, his extended family remain in the hospital with them until they are out of danger. They take their responsibilities to their families very seriously. One thing to note is that there are Amish, the Old Order Amish, Shutterites Henri-ites, Amish and Mennonites all wear similar clothes. I was surprised by this, but some of these sects are using a debit card at a restaurant.
