Reguarding bird flu N95 masks, how long should I wear one before changing and how many should I have on hand ?
How many hours are n95 approved masks effective for. Also same question for respirator cannisters. How many hours do each cannister last and how many should I have on hand
N 95 Masks have about an hour or two rating, depending on the cannister it depends what the cannister is rated for some cannisters are good for 2 hours the highest you can get is 4 hours on a cannister.
My big question is why are you wearing this stuff?
Is bird flu running rampant where you live?
Does bird flu exist in your general area?
What about other diseases out there that are a bit more likely for you to catch, what protection do you have against them?

Teach Me Tiger! $17.99 April Stevens.Teach Me Tiger! represents some kind of absurd apotheosis in post-Julie London pop seduction — April Stevens’ vocals are so breathy that one can’t help but wonder whether the poor girl spent the recording session hooked up to a respirator machine. Calculated naughtiness that’s ultimately as innocent as a lamb, the album luxuriates in the double entendres and nudge-nudge-wink-wink eroticism of a simpler time. Henri Ren?’s lush, knowing arrangements perfectly complement Stevens’ starry-eyed interpretations of songs like “Love Kitten,” “You and Only You,” and “It Can’t Be Wrong,” adding a much-needed touch of truly adult sophistication to the proceedings. Harkit’s 2008 CD reissue also appends a handful of rare tracks from Stevens’ tenure with RCA. ~ Jason Ankeny |

Complete Published Solo Piano Music $9.99 The timelessness of the piano works of Samuel Barber masks their relatively recent vintage. Written between 1931 and 1977, they are a fascinating look at the way the 20th century will fit in the annals of history.Performed by Daniel Pollack, this collection represents the first complete collection of Barber’s published works for solo piano (John Browning’s disc on Musicmasters omits the ‘Sketches’ and ‘Souvenirs’). Perhaps no one is better suited to realize this collection than Pollack–his 1958 recording of Barber’s “Sonata” is a collector’s item. The 1995 recording of “Sonata” included here is a gem polished by time. The romance of the composition masks the technical intricacies. Barber’s work is noteworthy for this kind of faux simplicity. Pollack’s technical acumen is up to the challenge, making this recording a wonderful retrospective of one of America’s great composers. |

Heartless - $19.99 An alienated fellow enters into a sinister pact that threatens to push him into psychopathic territory in this brutal neo-Faustian thriller from U.K. director Philip Ridley. Jim Sturgess (21) stars as Jamie, a thirtysomething photographer buckling beneath the weight of a stigma: a huge, red, heart-shaped birthmark that masks one half of his face, and has turned him into a social pariah. He inhabits the East End of London, currently racked by crisis — bands of thugs who rove throughout the streets, spreading violence and terror among the citizenry. As Jamie soon discovers, however, these aren’t ordinary hooligans wearing demon masks, but actual demons. The young man packs heat and then considers going to the authorities, but before he can do so, the monsters turn up, attack him, and murder his mother. Then, one of their leaders, Papa B. (Joseph Mawle), approaches Jamie to make a deal: permanent removal of the birthmark in exchange for the performance of some evil deeds. Jamie consents, but has no idea just how vile and cruel those tasks are until he has already signed up. At the time of its release, Heartless was the first feature from Ridley since his 1995 outing The Passion of Darkly Noon. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi |

Angel Wharton (Fox) is a true monster; a woman who abducts children and offers them up as prey for a pedophile. But how could such an outwardly normal woman be capable of such reprehensible crimes? Could her distant father – an ambitious vicar – be to blame, or perhaps it was the family friend who betrayed her at a young age? Then again, maybe it was her weak-willed mother. Tryin’ to Get a Buck [PA] $6.99 B-Legit is probably a rapper because he’s E-40′s cousin. That said, he does a formidable job, with smooth lyrics and flow. You know what to expect after seeing the cover of this CD, with a couple of guys with masks on their faces reloading a handgun in a store while robbing it. It’s more of a gangsta rap album than anything, but B-Legit took some extra steps to make it original. Half the album is devoted to weed, while the other half is about drinking. He talks a lot about his childhood and what it was like growing up in the hood. While this album has its strong points, B-Legit’s simple rhymes may leave some listeners bored very quickly. He isn’t really known as a lyricist, but still his rhymes are interesting and usually follow a story line. Overall a pretty good album if you like this kind of gangsta rap. ~ Brad Mills |

Jamake Highwater Collection - $24.99 Includes:Native Land: Nomads of the Dawn (1996) Primal Mind (1999) Native Land: Nomads of the Dawn Through storytelling, drama, ritual dance, and art, author Jamake Highwater explores the history and cultural legacy of the nomads who first discovered the Americas – and whose descendants developed the Aztec, Inca, and Maya civilizations in South America. Surviving myths and examples of art such as cave drawings, sculpture, and pottery provide intriguing clues to the way these people viewed the world and the cosmos, their relation to nature and animals, their morality and ideals, and the structure of their society. ~ Alice Duncan, Rovi Primal Mind Author Jamake Highwater narrates this documentary – based on his book, The Primal Mind. The program compares the ways that people with differing cultural backgrounds experience themselves and their environments. The basic outlooks of two groups are contrasted: those with American Indian heritage (rooted in respect for nature and sacred myths and rituals) and those with European heritage (placing stronger value on achievement, order, progress, and the “conquering” of nature). Basic views of art and architecture, medicine, dance, and time are compared. Modern artists whose works were influenced by both outlooks are also considered – among them, Martha Graham and Southwestern tribal dance, Jackson Pollock and Navaho sand painting, Pablo Picasso and African masks and wood carvings, and Henry Moore and pre-Columbian stone carvings. ~ Alice Duncan, Rovi |

Hell Is Other People [LP] $13.98 Though they proclaim themselves to be original “hardcore warriors,” Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania’s Heartless resemble nothing so much as crustcore soldiers in grindcore boots on 2011′s Hell Is Other People, which is packed with minute-long semi-song outbursts (“Clean Slate,” “Cede,” etc., etc.) occasionally interjected with doom-like breakdowns. Heck, at their most long-winded (“Resuscitate/Suffocate,” “Deject,” “Blinders”), Heartless only manage to stitch together enough ideas to double those average track lengths, so by the time they break the four-minute mark on “Cop Out,” oxygen masks better be standing by. Wait, there’s more: “Undulations” dribbles rattling bass against piercing guitar feedback in a fair approximation of Southern sludge, “Cast Down” rides a rot & roll groove for all its worth, while “Hard Feelings” seems to coalesce the band’s entire philosophy within its troubled, “never surrender” lyrics. After 21 minutes, it’s all over but the twitching. Hell Is Other People breaks no ground and brokers no peace, but it slays with brutal efficiency and that’s more than enough to keep a few fans happy, others bored but awake. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia |

Witold (Adam Ferency), the narrator, is at a gathering of his intellectual artist friends in Warsaw, where he meets Frederick (Krzysztof Majchrzak), a mysterious, but charming, stranger. They hit it off, so Witold invites Frederick along as he goes to visit the home of his friend Hipolit (Krzysztof Globisz) and his wife Maria (Grazyna Blecka-Kolska). Witold and Frederick become obsessed with arranging the coupling of Hipolit’s beautiful teenage daughter, Henia (Sandra Samos), and an equally beautiful young man, Karol (Kazimierz Mazur), who is working at the farm. As the two middle-aged gentlemen scheme, Germans fight with the Polish resistance, led by Siemian (Jan Frycz), in the woods nearby. Hipolit supports the resistance and his household is thrown into chaos when he is ordered to “liquidate” Siemian to prevent him from talking if he’s captured by the Germans. Meanwhile, Frederick’s obsession with Veronika, a pretty young maid at the house, masks a dark secret from his past. Pornography was shown at the 2003 Venice Film Festival and selected for the 2003 New York Film Festival. ~ Josh Ralske, Rovi |

The Killer Shrews – B&W $5.99 Ken Curtis, former singing cowboy and Gunsmoke’s Festus, joined right-wing radio’s Gordon McLendon in producing this hilariously bad monster movie about a horde of outsized rodents run amok on an isolated island. The creation of mad scientist Baruch Lumet (father of acclaimed director Sidney Lumet), the monster shrews (portrayed by collies in goofy rubber masks!) escape the lab during a hurricane and devour nearly every other animal on the island before seeking human prey — including star James Best and girlfriend Ingrid Goude (1957′s Miss Universe), who are stranded on the island by the same storm. The survivors manage to escape to safety thanks to some goofy contraptions constructed from trash cans. This one is best remembered by bad-film buffs for its tail-wagging canine stars and a multitude of famous names on both sides of the camera. Curtis and McLendon’s companion film The Giant Gila Monster is slightly less ridiculous. ~ Cavett Binion, Rovi |

The Secret Life of Geisha – B&W Collector’s $14.99 The centuries-old, mysterious Geisha tradition has played a significant part in Japanese society and has long been been held in a place of honor. Geishas have been trained since childhood in music, dance, the arts, formal ceremonies, conversation, and various ways of bolstering and indulging “the male ego.” A revered tradition involving women who are meticulously trained, expensively dressed, made up to appear as if they are wearing masks — and formally devoted to the idea that “Man has done no wrong, man can do no wrong” — may not easily be understood by many people in modern western society. This program, narrated by Susan Sarandon, gives viewers a look inside the tradition and sorts out some assumptions. Although hired to provide entertainment and company to men, a geisha (the word means “artist”) is usually not a prostitute. A historical look is also taken at the impact of geisha’s alliances with political figures, the tradition’s struggle for survival through World War II and the cultural changes that followed it. Interviews with modern-day geisha and their clients are included. Commentary is also provided by authors Arthur Golden (Memoirs of a Geisha) and Liza Dalby (Geisha). ~ Alice Duncan, Rovi |

She Had to Choose – B&W $5.99 Sally Bates ($Isabel Jewell) is a young Texas woman trying to make it to Hollywood on too little money and driving a car that’s too old. She gets stranded one night, nearly out of money and gas, in a college town where she meets Bill Cutler (Larry “Buster” Crabbe), a poor-but-honest and hard-working campus hunk — he’s a football hero and also runs the local drive-in restaurant for his mother (Maidel Turner). They take a light-hearted liking to each other and are thrust together even more forcefully when she helps break up a robbery. Sally ends up being taken into Bill’s mother’s home and working at the drive-in; but Bill is always spending time with his longtime steady Clara Berry (Sally Blane), who’s got a lot of money and a lot of interest in Bill — she and her family have big plans for him, when they marry, and Sally doesn’t want to get in the way. She ends up going out with Clara’s brother Jack (Regis Toomey), whose fun-loving nature masks a drinking problem and a mean and reckless streak. A series of misunderstandings ensues, culminating in Bill beating Jack to death — despite the evidence that it was, at worst, manslaughter, the district attorney (Wallis Clark) does his best to prove murder. ~ Bruce Eder, Rovi |

Conquest - $12.99 Acclaimed horror director Lucio Fulci infuses the sword-and-sorcery genre with gory decapitations, pus-squirting lesions and flesh-eating zombies in this uneven fantasy. The hero of the piece is young Ilias (Andrea Occhipinti), who, along with his bolo-swinging friend Maxz (Jorge Rivero), battles monsters, mutant tribes, and an evil queen (Sabrina Siani) on his journey to manhood. As the evil Ocron, the topless Siani wears a gold mask and bikini bottoms while writhing around on a fur rug covered with live snakes. Siani rules over a risible tribe of people in dog masks who blow narcotics up each others’ noses through a straw, and conjures up wolf-warriors from her dreams to shoot poisonous straws at her enemies. The American version is missing much of the gore, but is still far too explicit for the young audiences at whom it is apparently aimed. Terrible special effects, hazy cinematography and inappropriately modernistic music by Claudio Simonetti do not make the film very enjoyable for adults either. Still, it is well-paced and Occhipinti makes a sympathetic lead, making the film worthwhile, if only for genre completists and Fulci devotees. ~ Robert Firsching, Rovi |

Twenty years later, Mickey and Rose are not only working together as hired killers, but they have grown to become lovers as well. When Rose discovers she is dying of terminal cancer and becomes addicted to morphine, her conscience soon prompts her to reevaluate her murderous ways. Assigned the task of taking out Vickie (Vanessa Ferlito), the wife of local crime boss Clayton (Stephen Dorff), Mickey and Rose are unable to complete their mission upon discovering that Vickie is pregnant. With the tragedy of the past threatening to lock Mickey, Rose, and their reluctant charge into a tragic cycle of death and deceit, the reluctant killers attempt to make amends for their violent past by protecting Vickie’s unborn child and allowing Rose one last chance at redemption. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi |

Then one night, without warning, a simple knock at the door changes everything. Their home suddenly overrun by a band of ruthless criminals whose polite demeanor masks a terrifying malevolence, the fractured family realize that the only way out alive is to trust one another and fight together to reclaim what is rightfully theirs. Monsters Crash the Pajama Party - $8.99 A group of sorority girls are instructed to spend the night in a haunted house as an initiation. None of them believe in ghosts, and all expect their boyfriends to show up at midnight in an attempt to scare them with store-bought masks, so they relax in their pajamas and wait for the fun to start. Little do they suspect that the house also holds a secret laboratory where a mad scientist is performing nefarious experiments, turning beautiful girls into gorillas. The girls are abducted and chained in the basement, but luckily their boyfriends arrive in the nick of time and fight off the crazy doctor’s henchmen (a werewolf, a gorilla, and a creature of some indeterminate type). Incensed at his monsters’ failure to procure a girl for his experiments, the mad scientist instructs them to blast a hole in the movie screen with a laser gun and venture out into the audience. At this point the screen goes blank, and during Monsters Crash the Pajama Party’s original theatrical run, actors wearing identical monster costumes would run through the crowd, chasing girls to bring back up onscreen with them. It’s all played for laughs and both the comedy and horror is extremely lightweight, best enjoyed by fans of schlock cinema or anyone who feels nostalgic for the live “spook shows” that used to tour the country so many years ago. ~ Fred Beldin, Rovi |

Darkman 2: The Return of Durant – Widescreen Subtitle AC3 Dolby $8.99 Darkman is up to his old tricks. He’s robbing from the criminals and keeping for himself so he can further perfect his synthetic skin which dissolves after 99 minutes in the light. His old arch-nemesis, Robert Durrant (Larry Drake) returns, having survived the helicopter crash in the first film. Durant attempts to rebuild his crumbling empire by devising a new particle gun to sell on the market. After Durant kills a young scientist for his warehouse, Darkman goes on a rampage, vowing to destroy Durant once and for all. Darkman concocts masks of his enemies and infiltrates Durant’s gang, turning everyone on themselves. This sequel is above the typical direct-to-video quality and director May has captured Raimi’s comic-book style, but the energy that propelled the original is sorely missing here. Welcome back is Drake who once again astonishes with a gleefully maniacal performance, rightfully stealing the show. Replacing the title character is Arnold Vosloo, who coolly plays Darkman without the enraged melodramatics Liam Neeson brought to his portrayal of the tormented hero. This sequel was actually filmed after Darkman III: Die, Darkman, Die but was released on video first despite the fact that Universal thought it looked good enough to release into theaters. ~ Sean D. Lazos de Amor – Fullscreen Subtitle $14.99 This condensed version of the Mexican telenovela series centers around identical triplets Maria Guadalupe, Maria Paula, and Maria Fernanda – whose uncanny resemblance to one another betrays the fact that they all possess deeply disparate personalities. When the triplets were just young girls, their parents were killed in a tragic car accident. Later, Maria Guadalupe falls down a mountain and into a river. Though she is believed to be dead, Maria Guadalupe is still very much alive. She’s being raised by Ana Sales, who is still struggling with her own mother’s death and who vows to raise the child as her own – even after discovering the truth about her identity. Meanwhile, Maria Fernanda has been rendered blind in an accident, and refuses to give up hope that her sibling somehow survived her treacherous fall. The most glamorous of the three sisters is Maria Paula, though her outward radiance masks a deep selfishness. Maria Paula always has to be the center of attention, especially when she’s around her uncle Eduardo and grandmother Mercedes. When Maria Guadalupe and Ana arrive in Mexico City to seek treatment for an illness, the amnesiac sister falls for a handsome and kindhearted cab driver named Nicolas, who has just moved to the city to live with his grandfather. Though Ana tries her best to conceal Maria Guadalupe’s true identity by restricting the actions of the young girl, Nicolas’ grandfather knows the truth. Before long, the lives of all three sisters converge in Mexico City, drawing the people around them together in a manner that no one could have foreseen. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi |

Fargo – Widescreen Dubbed Subtitle AC3 $9.99 Filmmaking siblings Joel Coen and Ethan Coen both embraced and poked satirical fun at their Minnesotan roots with this comedy-drama-thriller that earned seven Oscar nominations, winning for Best Actress and Best Original Screenplay. Frances McDormand stars as Marge Gunderson, a pregnant police chief whose affable, folksy demeanor masks a whip-smart mind. When a pair of motorists are found slain not far from the corpse of a state trooper, Marge begins piecing together a case involving a pair of dopey would-be kidnappers, Carl (Steve Buscemi) and Gaear (Bergman stock player Peter Stormare). They’ve been hired by Jerry Lundegaard (William H. Macy), a car salesman under the thumb of his wealthy, overbearing boss and father-in-law, Wade (Harve Presnell). Jerry’s raised some money illegally through a petty scam he’s run on General Motors and he’s about to get caught. When Wade sours a business deal that could save his son-in-law’s hide, the desperate Jerry hires Carl and Gaear to kidnap his wife and hold her for ransom. Things go predictably wrong and a series of murders occur, with Marge, waddling along behind her enormous belly and ever-hungering for an all-you-can-eat buffet, hot on the trail of the killers. Although the credits for Fargo state that the film is loosely based on real events, the story is entirely fictional, the claim being just an ironic jibe on the part of the Coens. ~ Karl Williams, Rovi |

Monarchy $34.99 Shrouded in mystery, enigmatic Australian dance-pop duo Monarchy were rumored to be the alias of everyone from hotshot producer Stuart Price to Hot Chip when they burst onto the scene, wearing mummified face masks, in early 2010. Later revealed as virtual unknowns Edward Nigma (vocals) and Peter Uzzle (production), the reality may have been a little less exciting than the speculation, but their debut album, Around the Sun, is more than worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as their more famous counterparts. Indeed, it’s not difficult to see why the former Les Rythmes Digitales maverick’s name in particular was bandied about, as several of its 12 tracks could have been lifted from his sessions with the Killers (the bass-driven new wave funk of “Jealous Guy”), Kylie Minogue (the slinky synth pop of “Love Get Out of My Way”), and Scissor Sisters (the falsetto glam-disco of “Call”). But elsewhere, Monarchy’s sophisticated attack on the dancefloor has more in common with the melodramatic ’80s-inspired electro of Hurts, as evident on the orchestral opener “Black, the Colour of My Heart,” the Chris Isaak-esque yearning melodies and Italo-house riffs of “I Won’t Let Go,” and the spacy synths and warm layered harmonies of “Gold in the Fire.” However, Around the Sun is less convincing when it strays from its nu-synth leanings. “You Don’t Want to Dance with Me” is an out-of-place fusion of clattering R&B beats and warped basslines, the title track is an aimless and pointless slice of space-age ambience, and melancholic closer “Travelling by Ambulance” is a formulaic attempt to produce a Snow Patrol-style “lighters in the air” pop/rock ballad. Arriving a year after its original release date (due to the duo’s premature dumping from Mercury), Around the Sun may have lost some of the momentum gained from their intriguing “guess who” anonymous profile. But when it plays to its strengths, it’s a classy piece of glossy electro-pop that should ensure everyone knows who they are next time round. ~ Jon O’Brien |

Bloody Pit of Horror [LP] $20.98 With there being an overabundance of metal bands hiding behind gory masks and costumes circa the early 21st century, some forget that GWAR was one of the first to specialize in this “comic book/horror movie” style and approach. And what has set GWAR apart from most of the “masked metal competition” is that they have always had a sense of humor in what they’ve done, while some of the similar-looking bands that followed in their path take things a bit too seriously. You’ve got to give GWAR some credit — they’re still at it (decades after first appearing on the scene), as evidenced by the arrival of their 12th studio album overall, 2010′s Bloody Pit of Horror. As with past GWAR releases, you know exactly what to expect before your “listening experience” begins: Metallica-like buzz-saw riffing, grizzly/gory lyrics, etc. And wouldn’t you know it? Bloody Pit of Horror sounds just like their previous albums! Take a gander at such song titles as the album-opener “Zombies, March,” as well as “A Gathering of Ghouls,” and “Hail, Genocide,” and you know exactly what lies ahead. Also included is a song in which the band does their best “Type O Negative impersonation” (especially the vocals of GWAR’s leader, Oderus Urungus), perhaps as a tribute to recently deceased Type O founder, Pete Steele. While GWAR is still obviously best experienced on the concert stage (they continue to offer the most over-the-top stage show in all of rock), Bloody Pit of Horror won’t let the GWAR faithful down. ~ Greg Prato |

I’m a Cyborg, but That’s OK – Subtitle $19.99 After wrapping-up his critically-acclaimed “Vengeance Trilogy” with the award-winning 2005 thriller Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, South Korean filmmaker Chan-wook Park shifts gears for this gently comic romantic drama concerning a delusional young mental patient who believes herself to be a cyborg. Convinced that she is not entirely human but in fact part android, Young-goon (Lim Su-jeong)’s health begins to deteriorate as she gives up eating food and instead decides to “charge her batteries” by administering electric shocks to herself via a small transistor radio. As her mental state continues to deteriorate, the troubled young woman takes to donning her grandmother’s dentures and carrying on extended conversations with various machines around the mental health facility. Of course Young-goon isn’t the only person suffering from a mental malady in this hospital, and it’s not long before Il-soon (Rain), a young man with a penchant for wearing masks and a reputation for being anti-social, is admitted as well. A good-looking young man who sets about convincing his fellow patients that he has the power to absorb their personality traits, Il-soon gradually begins to develop a tender romance with the troubled Young-goon. Later, when hospital officials determine that the only way to save Young-goon is to administer electro-shock therapy, the treatment has the unusual side-effect of convincing the would-be android that she has been fully recharged and possesses the ability to fire bullets from her fingers. In reality, Young-goon’s physical deterioration has become truly alarming. With little time to lose before the love of his life slides beyond the point of no return, Il-soon enlists the aid of his concerned fellow patients in getting Young-goon back on the path to good health. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi |
