how do you do a sterile skin prep?
abdominal skin prep for a c-section
many accepted techniques, but usually some type of of betadine/iodine prep. Chlorhexadine also used.
Then the rocket science: you scrub a few times, usually starting at the center (over the incision site to be) and radiating out. If the belly is truely filthy, a mild soapy scrub is usually done first.
Then, you put sterils sheets/gowns/towls down overlapping the borders of the prep. Ready to go.
